Kodak impresses with its new conception, the Kodak DX3900 which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was unveiled in North America on the 14/8/01. The Kodak DX3900 will be sold at a retail price of 450in North America, a great price for such a camera. The DX3900 offers a maximum resolution of 2160 x 1440. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1800 x 1200, 1536 x 1024, 1080 x 750. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Kodak DX3900 is set at 3:2, for a total of 3.1 mega pixels. The sensor of the DX3900 is a CCD of dimensions 1/1.8 " with a RGB color filter.
Kodak included a digital zoom on the DX3900 and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the DX3900 is 16 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. The Kodak DX3900 includes an internal memory of 8 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Compact Flash Type I. The LCD screen of the DX3900 measures 1.5 ". A video output is available making it handy to watch pictures on your television.
