Kodak impresses with its new conception, the Kodak Z712 which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was shown on the North American market on the 29/6/07. The Kodak Z712 has been launched at a price of 235in North America, considered affordable for such a camera. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200. The sensor on the Z712 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " using a RGB color filter. Kodak implemented a digital zoom on the Z712 and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays .

The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 60 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Z712 is 1/2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version being a very useful function. The Kodak Z712 camera has an internal storage of 32 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Z712 measures 2.5 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
