Kodak is back with its new model, the Kodak P712 which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented in the US on the 20/6/06. The Kodak P712 will be sold for 467in North America, a very interesting deal. The P712 has for maximum resolution 3072 x 2304. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960. The image ratio (w/h) on the Kodak P712 is set at 4:3, making a camera of 7.1 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the P712 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.5 " using a RGB color filter. Kodak implemented a digital zoom on the P712 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays .
The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the P712 was set at 16 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version being a very useful function. The Kodak P712 camera has an internal storage of 32 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the P712 is measuring 2.5 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television.
