Kodak arrives this year with its new camera, the Kodak M873 which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented on the North American market on the 12/6/07. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960. The sensor of the M873 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter. Kodak included a digital zoom on the M873 with an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 70 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the M873 is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds.

Movie clips are also supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Kodak M873 includes an internal memory of 32 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen of the M873 diagonally measures 2.5 ". A video out plug exists letting you see your pictures on television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
